|REVIEW: San San Cosmetics Age Defense Two Way Cake (2016)|
Reviewed: November 2016
I wrote my first review of this powder back in 2011. You can read it here and compare how many changes HBC made throughout the years, and also how my writing also changed:
Oh how I remember using San San's Age Defense makeup for the first time back in 2011. I often complained alot about the medicated scent. 4 years later, I noticed how much has improved in their Age Defense line, that's why I'm writing to sing praises for this product.
I have two versions of this two way cake: the older one does not have a separate compartment for the sponge and shades only have numbers, while the newer one has a separate compartment for the sponge, and shade names.
It still has the same old metallic chrome blue color that specifies it is their Age Defense line. Now the powder does not have a medicated scent anymore and it is SUPER FINE. As a foundation, it works well as my touch up powder later in the day because it doesn't look thick. Nothing gets trapped in the pores or between the lines on my skin. You can layer this powder over and over and still not look like a fucked up cake face.
That one most beautiful thing about this powder which has been why I liked it since 2011 was that the shades were created with Filipino skin tone in mind. I used both #2 and #3 and while one is lighter and the other warmer, they both suited my skin tone well.
Use these in tandem with each other, as a system: Body Recipe Milk+ Sunblock Cream SPF 20, San San WW Cream, and San San Age Defense Two Way Cake. I highly recommend this for men too because the powder will give a clean finished look. (The Age Defense powder performs better for me than their regular powder.)

These were taken after many hours in the field and lots of sweating.
