Packaging (10/10)

When you buy this product, it comes with a protective seal so it's tamper-proof and you know it's fresh. The physical appearance of this product looks like a simple laminated wood, and gives it a natural and earth-inspired theme. The text is elegantly embedded, and you can actually feel the depression on the surface. That way, the label won't easily fade. Batch number and manufacturing date are inscribed on one end, and it also comes with a brush attached to the cap. There is no particular chemical scent, but when you sniff at it, you can only smell the aromatic scent of the wood.

Formula / Performance (10/10)

Just like its official description says... "firm enough as an eyebrow pencil and soft enough as an eyeliner." The tip of this pencil won't feel abrasive on the skin, and has a balanced non-greasy consistency to glide smoothly and yet remain smudge-resistant and adhere to the skin. This pencil is delightfully creamy and smooth, but also stays put all day and does not smudge whether I use it alone or with eyebrow powder.

Ingredients: Cera alba, Copernicia cerifera cera, Ceresin, Petrolatum, Ricinus communis seed oil, Methyl paraben, Propyl paraben. May contain: CI 77491, 77288, 77492, 77891, 77499, 77019, 19140, 77510.

Shade (10/10)

This product consists of 5 shades. I was looking for something that doesn't look too black and too strong, or something that looks too light or reddish either. Since there was no tester at that time, it was either Honey Blonde or Dark Copper for me. Just to be safe... Dark Copper. Yes, this shade was perfection! It looks very natural when I use it. I would describe Dark Copper as a milky brown color or a PALE TAUPE

There's a mole in your eyes!
The origin of the word 'taupe' came from the French mole (Wikipedia). Now you knows.

  • The formula is perfect
  • The shade Dark Copper is perfect... not too deep, not reddish
  • Doubles as eyebrow pencil and eyeliner pencil... save money compared to buying separate pencils!
  • Long lasting
  • It has a very down-to-earth feeling and appearance
  • Comes with a brush
  • Available in 5 shades
Areas for improvement:
  • None I could think of... (Testers please! I'd love to buy one but not sure I'd get the shade I'm looking for...)

This looks great either for eyebrows or the eyelids (but I prefer to use it for the brows). Dark Copper produces a defined eyebrow but maintains a natural shade while adding a little drama to my eyelids with a sheer smoky effect. I have sworn my loyalty to this brand (and its sister FS Cosmetics) because it's proudly Filipino, has an affordable price tag, and they regularly produce new, trendy and gorgeous products. Another haul to fight depression... I'm such a miserable person, what else can I do about it!

Swatches on my hand. The swatch on the very left is from the lol Brownzer in Brown Sugar.

From another perspective.

Used the pencil on its own.
